The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

Within the present pastures of paradise's set sits a lone sheep walking along the plain. A young man no more than 30 approaches with tears in his eyes and a heavy heart.

Kneeling as he beckons the gentle sheep towards his reach he begins to verbalize his remorse as he re-lives it mentally

"If only my life had been as simple as the sheep's. No guilt,  no love " he weeps

No sooner said did the quiet gentle animal begin speaking in tongues . Some of which were understood, some interpreted. The young man, unphased, listens.

" the life of the sheep is simple yes, but to what avail is it to life with the sole and solemn purpose of dying for the disposal and distribution of the majority masses and masters? To what purpose is my being other than servitude to a higher cause that is not of my own?"

The sheep stops and looks at the man in his teary eyes and begins to laugh

"It seems we are not so different are we?"

The man's pain quickly turns to fear and anger as the tone of the mocking sheep's laughter rings in his ear like a gunshot

"you are nothing but a sheep. What do you know about life? You're business is providing resources for us to keep. You serve no other purpose. You're meer sheep!"

The skies soon gathered clouds of darken damp proportions as fear quickly swept the paradise plain like a plague. The once gentle sweet sheep rose on two feet and points to the young man.

"Spare me your meer malignant antidotes and your remedial incantations. It's your eyes who've deceived you and your once glistening faith of your worthless existence that has betrayed you. For no one commands that which commands but themselves. You're responsible for your actions and you shall pay the dearest costs"

The towering force that shadows the man slowly reaches for it's head and pulls away that of which was covering the true presence at hand. The man shudders in fright as he knows what stands before him.

"You're the one who was the cast. The creature of evil behind that gentle mask. Be gone and I pray I'll never relive this day."

The creature laughs again as the hypocritical theologian recites his worthless scripture

"Am I really that evil, sheep? Is it so hard for you to believe that without my anterior agenda,  there would be no reason for your faith and being? Without me .... there is nothing. I'm merely the one to encourage your relevant and broad thinking.  Not to harm and not to taunt, nor to devour. Meerly to show the sheep who really possess that power"

The man sits still with grief, fright and lay sunken in the ground of that hill.

"What have I become?"
